The hostname, location, and contact information can be found on a homepage of a device web interface:
Hostname – is a domain name of a device. It allows distinguishing several NetPing devices of the same type by their hostnames. A hostname is displayed on a homepage and in a heading of the web interface, is sent in notifications and is available via SNMP.
Location – is a description of an installation place of a NetPing device. It is displayed on a homepage and in a heading of a web interface, is available via SNMP.
Contact – is a contact data (usually an e-mail) of an administrator. It is displayed on a homepage and is available via SNMP.
All three variables can be set (changed) on the web-interface SETUP page.
For more advanced users, the basic access option is using the SNMP v1 protocol by reading the corresponding OID using the command Get:
