Saving the Configuration
To save a backup copy of a set configuration of a device into a binary file, there is a need to go to the page «SETUP» of a device web interface. In the section «BACKUP, RESTORE,CLONE ALL SETTINGS», click the button «Download»:
Afterward, a file with settings with the extension .bin will appear on the local PC disk, for example, USS-001-125-ServerRoom-1_setup.bin (before the underscore in the name of a file, a name of a device is substituted that is configured on the page «SETUP» of a web interface).
Restoring a Configuration
To download a backup copy of a set configuration from a binary file to a device, there is a need to go to the page «SETUP» of a device web interface. In the section «BACKUP, RESTORE,CLONE ALL SETTINGS» click the button «Upload»:
A successful uploading is followed by the displaying the status «Uploading of settings completed successfully» with the following rebooting of a device:After that, you should select the necessary .bin file to load the configuration.
When uploading a binary file, the next parameters are not restored:
- IP address;
- Subnet mask;
- HTTP server port
These parameters are necessary to be configured manually.
Before uploading a configuration into EEPROM, the identity of «donor» and «acceptor» versions is checked. If a «donor» version is not suitable, uploading is not performed, and the error message is displayed: «The image of settings is not compatible!».
