[ENG] 9.3. [DKSF 52/202.10 IU] Is It Possible to Reproduce IR Commands through the SNMP?
Reproducing of the IR commands can be realized through an SNMP protocol. A necessary information is contained in the MIB file that corresponds to the used firmware version of a NetPing device. It is possible to download the required MIB file from the pages of the description of devices in the section «Documentation and Files»:
It is possible to record commands only when using a device web interface.
Reproducing IR commands using the means of an SNMP protocol:
- Before issuing an IR command, make sure that a transceiver is in a standby mode, reading the status through the OID .18.104.22.168.4.1.25728.7900.1.3.0. A status value «commandCompleted (0)» or «commandAccepted (2)» means that an IR transceiver is ready to reproduce an IR command;
- To issue an IR command, write a number of a command (a cell number of a saved command) in OID .22.214.171.124.4.1.25728.7900.1.1.0;
- If a transceiver is in a status «protocolError (1)», then a reboot is performed by writing the value «1» into OID .126.96.36.199.4.1.25728.7900.1.2.0 (works or the IR extension module IRC-TR v1);
- After the reboot, there is a need to wait for the readiness «commandCompleted (0)», by reading the status. If the repeated reproducing of an IR command does not disrupt the logic of the equipment operation, then the issuing of a command is better to repeat 2-4 times, each time repeating the readiness before issuing a command
All statuses of the IR extension module can be browsed in the MIB files DKSF_52.10.x_ MB.mib, DKSF_202.10.x_ MB.mib (OID «npIrStatus») or on the page «[ENG] 13.3. [DKSF 52/202.10 IU] What OID Are Supported by a Device?» for this firmware description.
