The information about the firmware and hardware versions and a serial number of a device can be found on the home page of a device web interface:

where:

Firmware Version – is a current firmware version installed in a device.

A number of a firmware version looks like this: DKSF PPP.VV.SS.C-M (for example, DKSF 202.10.2.A-1), where:

  • DKSF – is a specific prefix for all firmware of the company NetPing global Ltd.;
  • PPP – is a number of a model of a device for which the firmware is designed

Project numbers usually but not necessarily coincide with the project number of the hardware platform of a device.

  • VV – is a version number. Versions are numbered starting from 1. A version number is changed to the next one if in the process of development functionality is expanded or changed significantly;
  • SS – is a subversion number. A subversion number is changed from any firmware update, including fixing errors, updating internal modules, and optimization;
  • С – is a character that shows a type of the software version. R or A is a stable Russian software version, В is a version for testing or the first version of new firmware. E is a stable English firmware version;
  • М – is a numeric suffix that marks the modification (variant) of a model of a device for which the firmware is designed.

Hardware Version – is a version of a printing board and/or configuration of the device.

Serial Number – is a unique identification number of a device. It must coincide with a number on a sticker on the device. A serial number of a device cannot be changed.
